Mechanical ventilation is increasingly used in the home care setting for long-term management of many forms of severe chronic respiratory failure (1). Various home care ventilators are available for long term ventilation with varying features and functionalities (1).

During this webinar, Cesare Gregoretti, M.D., will discuss:

- The basic principles of ventilator functionality

- The key attributes of a home care ventilator and how these functions allow for effective ventilation at home, patient comfort and mobility

- The main differences between ventilation in the acute setting and non-acute/post acute settings

- Clinical management of patients ventilated with a home care ventilator

This program has been approved for 1.00 contact hour Continuing Respiratory Care Education (CRCE) credit by the American Association for Respiratory Care, 9425, N. MacArthur Blvd, Suite 100, Irving TX 75063
