This Webinar will be conducted in 2 sessions

March 21, 5pm

Part 1: How to obtain rigorous optimal cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) data?

Cardiopulmonary exercise testing can be challenging to obtain high quality data. Specifically, is the CPET system well calibrated, is the subject prepared, when should the study be stopped, is the exercise data optimal, and how do we know the test was performed well? How to display the data for maximal effectiveness? We will cover the three most common pitfalls to poor CPET data and discuss equipment, personnel training, and differences between bike and treadmill that will help your lab optimize the patient experience.

April 17, 5pm

Part 2: Masterclass in cardiopulmonary exercise test (CPET) interpretation?

Even with high quality, well collected and displayed data, CPET interpretation can be tricky. How are the various thresholds detected, what breath averaging scheme is optimal, and how can the ramifications of various diseases be detected with CPET. Also, what are the most common pitfalls to CPET interpretation? This master class will bring your laboratory up to the next level with important insights into interpretation.
