Live sessions with Prof. Alain Cribier : Minimalist TF-TAVI Workshop

18 years after the First-in-Man TAVI case performed by our team in Rouen on April 2002, the procedure is incredibly expanding. Significant technological advances and simplified strategies led to an explosion of TAVI with more than 600 000 cases performed to date in the world.

Our team has been pioneering since 1992 the simplified "transfemoral minimalist approach" which then became the default strategy for TAVI, able to be applied in >90% of all cases. To address the demand of many colleagues wishing to assess with us the feasibility and safety of this simplified strategy, we have started a series of interactive workshops based on live video-transmission of "minimalist transfemoral-TAVI cases" using the SAPIEN 3 valve.

Due to COVID pandemic, the next workshop of November 2020 will be virtual.

Live cases (using Sapien 3 valve and Evolut™ PRO valve) will be transmitted from the Department of Cardiology of Rouen University Hospital Charles Nicolle and the Department of Cardiology of Toulouse Clinique Pasteur . In between, several lectures will be covering the topics of patient selection, CT Scan screening, tips & tricks for the transfemoral minimalist approach, difficult cases, valve-in-valve procedures and management of complications.

It will be a great pleasure to share with you our experience
