Thomas Tailly completed medical school and urology residency training in The catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. After his fellowship in London Ontario, Canada, where he was trained in Endourology by Dr. Denstedt, Dr. Razvi and Dr. Pautler, he moved back to Belgium, to take a position in the University Hospital of Ghent. His main clinical focus is on urolithiasis, although he also covers NMIBC, UTUC and BPH treatments. His research interests include stents, stent symptoms research, diagnostic imaging and urolithiasis treatment. He tries to give back to the endourology community as YAU member, Past Young Endourology Working group chair, by organizing endourology courses and by training residents and fellows in endourology.
