The main goal of this training program is to impart surgeons and surgical residents in Kenya and the region with the requisite skills needed to conduct surgeries to correct hypospadias.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Conceptual overview of hypospadias.
  • Hands on skills on urethroplasty procedures.

DAY 1: Introduction, Purpose of the course, Training models, Previous surgical experience, principles of urethroplasty, Interactive classroom session.

DAY 2 & 3: Practical hands-on time with interim participants in order to apply teaching skills.

On successful completion of course participants receive Award of Certificates.

It's CPD credited course.

DAY 1

· 8.30 – 8.45: REGISTRATION

· 8.45 – 9.00: WELCOME NOTE (Dr. Mwika)

· PRACTICAL HANDS-ON TIME WITH INTERIM PARTICIPANTS IN ORDER TO APPLY TEACHING SKILLS.

· 10.30 – 13.00: HANDS-ON-TRAINING

· 13.00 – 14.30: LUNCH BREAK

· 14:30 – 15:45: HANDS-ON-TRAINING
