"The living human being inside the tissues has never been filmed!
I invite you to dive beneath the skin to explore by endoscopy during surgical procedures, in search of the organization of living human matter. My approach is at once scientific, educational and cinematographic.
For decades, I've given lectures to share my discoveries, observations and analyses.
Today, I present you a cycle of 12 mini-conferences (10 to 15 min each) in an on-demand, shorter format adapted to your current constraints." Dr JC Guimberteau.

Thank you, Jean-Claude, for this in depth look at this fascinating system. I felt as if I were standing beside you in the dissection room as you explored the complexity and beauty of fascia and its undeniable ubiquitous characteristics. I was, at times feeling breathless with awe, and I appreciated that you seemed to be feeling that way too, even after all these years. I learned in a different way that cells alone are not responsible for body shape, but the fibrillar network and vacuoles are the tissue that opens up the structure in biotensegrity, and gives the body its form. I loved watching this reality unfold under the microscope. I could feel my volume in a significantly different way. I appreciated your introducing other researchers and authors into your commentary, and how their work informed what you were describing in making your case for the fibrillar network being not connective, but constitutive. With this work, I believe it is much easier to envision this network as a whole-body system from head to toe, in which all cells are embedded and take their ability to function from the functional architecture of their essence. One thing troubles me. I believe you describe a wonderful complex system, a system that behaves according to complexity and continuity, but you continually use the word "mechanical" in your descriptions of behavior. "Fibrillar mechanical behavioral system." I think you are referring to the orderliness of this functioning, but what we observe is the polar opposite of mechanical, or machine - like: predictable, always behaving the same way, dependent on parts acting the same way. This is a complex system as described by Neil Theise in his book, Notes on Complexity - self emergent according to the moment to moment forces it responds to. Do you require this word - "mechanical", or even "biomechanical"- in your descriptions? For me, it harkens back to linear thinking. Granted some of what we observe can be explained by Newtonian physics, but most of this tissue is demonstrating the remarkable "biomotion" behavior of living complex systems: adaptability and resilience, emergent properties, feedback loops, interconnectedness, nonlinear dynamics, networks, holistic, heterarchical but hierarchical in a necessary moment response. So "mechanical" versus biomotion, or dynamic motion seems rather inaccurate, even inappropriate. When will these videos be available for us to share with colleagues? May I help you market them by showing examples and encouraging others to buy them? By the way, I was happy to pay full price for them - the registration code was not accepted - but I am delighted to have them. And I look forward to using them as soon as you give me permission. Thank you for this opportunity, Jean-Claude. Best wishes to you. Carol Davis
