Whitepaper-

Current tissue expanders have compatibility limitations with some of the most sensitive medical imaging technologies caused by their injection port which is made of ferromagnetic metals, creating large metal-induced artifacts when exposed to these techniques. Due to this existing drawback, Establishment Labs® has developed the Motiva Flora® Tissue Expander with an innovative injection port that operates with radiofrequency (RFID) technology that does not have high-density metals; therefore, it does not cause such artifacts.

What you will learn

The Motiva Flora® Tissue Expander has been assessed with various imaging technologies to see the effects that the non-magnetic injection port has on the resulting images in Computerized Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and X-ray
