Training details

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a promising, minimally invasive treatment option with no major complications whereby women have shown improvement in their quality of life and sexual function (Aguilar et al., 2016), as well as clinical improvement of symptoms in lichen sclerosus (Behnia-Willison et al., 2016), vaginal atrophy, recently recognized as genitourinary syndrome of menopause (Hersant et al., 2018; Behnia-Willison et al., 2017) and dyspareunia.

PRP, in addition to its regenerative properties, produces anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects which lead to a resolution of many gynecological symptoms.

For a few years, it is successfully used in numerous dermal applications, including alopecia, scar revision (keloid or traumatic scars), acne scars, stretch marks, skin rejuvenation (overall improvement in skin texture and firmness) and dermal augmentation.

On another hand, combination of PRP and hyaluronic acid (HA) is also used in the field of skin care for intra-dermal injections, for the hydration of dehydrated and wrinkled skin. It has also been shown that this combination with HA prolong the effects of PRP, thereby improving skin tone and quality (Hersant et al. 2017, chapter 4).

M.D

To be discussed in session.

At the end of this workshop, a BioBridge certificate of attendance will be provided.

The morning session will be dedicated to the theoretical part with the presentation of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) biology and medical devices by the product specialist.

In the afternoon session the guest doctor will make live injections on patients and will guide you through the hands-on training.
