The e-learning focuses on managing fast atrial fibrillation (AF) through a remote monitoring system, using the innovative concept of a virtual ward. The session begins with Prof. Ng discussing the growing epidemic of atrial fibrillation and its associated healthcare costs. Prof. Ng explains the treatment of fast AF and how remote monitoring technology, applied via a virtual ward, could improve patient outcomes. The process flow, technology involved, patient responses, and future prospects for this approach are also highlighted during the session.
