The International Liver Cancer Association (ILCA) is the only international organisation devoted exclusively to liver cancer research for experts from all related disciplines.

Our mission is to lead a global Community of physicians, scientists and allied professionals through education and research with the goal to better prevent and treat liver cancer.

We will do so by promoting novel pathogenic, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for liver cancer by taking a transversal approach to research and bringing together scientists, physicians and allied professionals from all interrelated fields.

Overview

François Cauchy is associate professor in the department of HPB surgery and liver transplantation at Beaujon hospital headed by professor Soubrane. His clinical activities mainly involve open and mini-invasive (laparoscopic and robotic) liver surgery along with liver transplantation. He is the author of more than 110 publications in international peer- review journals and several book chapters. He is member of the editorial board of World Journal of Surgery and also reviewer for various leading international medical and surgical peer-reviews journals. His areas of research involve malignant and beningn liver lesions where he is currently leading several national trials, living and deceased donor liver transplantation, mini-invasive liver surgery and postoperative outcomes. Finally, he is completing a PhD focusing on the metabolic profiling of HCC.

Valérie Paradis, MD PhD and Professor in Pathology, is the chairman of Pathology department (Beaujon hopsital) and leader of the INSERM team "From inflammation to neoplasia in digestive diseases" (INSERM UMR 1149 Paris).
Overview

Since 2014, he has been head of the liver transplantation center of Pitié-Salpêtrière and leader of translational research in the INSERM-SU-ICAN team entitled “Metabolic end biliary fibro- inflammatory diseases of the liver”. He has been entrusted by AP-HP to lead the Paris center of liver transplantation, that resulted from the merge of three centers (Cochin, Saint-Antoine and Pitié). He holds his PhD degree in oncology, studying hepatocellular carcinoma and the bone marrow (BM) as a tumor cell reservoir. He has conducted many clinical trials (phase II & III) as PI.

He is national coordinator in the field of transplantation and liver surgery and member of the scientific council of the Biomedecine Agency. He is internationally recognized as a pioneer of laparoscopic approach in liver surgery.

Juan S. I have already mentioned I was not able to access the courses with my laptop. I do not know the reason. I'm using in a daily basis Zoom, Webex, and MS Teams with no issues.
